Bitcoin Fear & Greed Index today
The Fear & Greed Index measures Bitcoin market sentiment on a 0–100 scale. Low values indicate fear (nervous investors, price pushed down), while high values indicate greed (euphoria, top risk). The idea is contrarian: extreme fear has historically coincided with good buying opportunities, and extreme greed often precedes corrections.
The index combines volatility, market volume, Bitcoin dominance, search trends and social media. This page shows today's value, the last 30 days and a simple signal: fear (below 25) suggests a possible buy window; neutral (25–50) calls for caution; greed (above 50) suggests waiting.
Use it as a thermometer, not a trigger
No single indicator should decide your buys. Fear & Greed is a market-mood thermometer — useful to avoid buying at peak euphoria or selling in panic. Combined with a DCA strategy, it helps keep a cool head.
FAQ
What does extreme fear mean?
Index near 0: the market is pessimistic. Historically, these are discounted-price moments.
Does the index predict price?
It doesn't predict. It measures sentiment. It's context, not a crystal ball.
